Mel Tucker and Michigan State have emphasized the importance of big offensive and defensive lineman when it comes to recruiting. This offer is no different as MSU has offered 2023 defensive end, Joshua Mickens.
Mickens, who is 6’4″ and 225 pounds, is currently unranked by 247sports and attends Lawrence Central in his hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. Mickens is more of a rush edge player, who uses his size, speed and strength to easily maneuver around the offensive line.
Mickens has already received two other offers, including one from another Big Ten School. Indiana and Iowa State have also offered this speedy defensive end. Expect Mickens to get more offers and be a high-end three star prospect when 247sports does more scouting on the 2023 class.
Truly blessed and honored to receive an offer to play Division 1 football at Michigan State University! Special thanks to @Coach_Mtucker and @CoachRonBurton @MSU_Football @LCHSAthletics #GoGreen #GainGround pic.twitter.com/IcBWFh1stJ
