Michigan State football loses cornerback to long term injury

An MSU CB suffered a long term injury on Saturday

It has been tumultuous start to the Michigan State football season with the Spartans losing several key players to injury during the team’s 2-0 start to the 2024 season.

One position group that is taking a massive hit is the defensive backfield, who lost two safeties, Dillon Tatum and Khalil Majeed, in week one. Now, in week two, another defensive back has suffered a long term injury.

Sophomore cornerback Chance Rucker will miss 6-8 weeks with an upper body injury that he suffered in College Park. Smith announced details of the injury and timeline during his press conference on Monday.
