We all knew this was a possibility this year, but it still feels a little surreal that it is actually happening. On Thursday, it was officially announced that Michigan State Football’s game against Maryland this Saturday has been canceled after the Terrapins experienced a significant COVID-19 outbreak on the team.
According to a press release from the Terrapins, 15 football players and seven staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 this week, which includes head coach Mike Locksley.
This is the second game in a row that has been canceled for Maryland after they were also forced to skip their game against Ohio State.
