Michigan State football lost true freshman defensive back Jaylen Thompson to the transfer portal. Thompson, who loved his time in East Lansing, needed to get closer to home due to family health issues, he was able to achieve that.
Thompson will be moving on to a home state school, committing to Memphis, he announced via X.
In 2024, Thompson was able to play in six games for the Spartans, making a couple of starts and recording 17 tackles.
