Many Michigan State football fans have come to know and love George Blaha’s “Touchdown MSU!” call on fall Saturdays. Blaha has been a staple of Michigan State football, and is widely known as the voice of Spartan football, doing play-by-play on the radio every weekend. In addition to MSU games, Blaha is the play-by-play voice for the Detroit Pistons on TV.
Blaha, along with the Detroit Pistons, released a statement announcing that he will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season because of a heart-bypass procedure he will be undergoing this week.
The Pistons just announced that George Blaha will miss the rest of the season due to a heart bypass procedure that he’ll undergo on Tuesday, March 15.
“I’m grateful that they caught my issue early and they expect a full recovery,” Blaha said in a release. pic.twitter.com/tcGzIpHuez
