Mel Tucker has tabbed Mark Diethorn as the newest member of his coaching and support staff. Diethorn will be taking over Saeed Khalif’s role that was vacated earlier this offseason. Diethorn will take over as Michigan State’s Executive Director of Player Personnel and Director of Recruiting.

Diethorn started his career at Florida, as a recruiting assistant under Urban Meyer from 2009-10. Following his stint in Gainesville, he spent 2012-2017 as the Director of Recruiting at the University of Pittsburgh. His most recent stop came at Virginia Tech, where he was the Director of Player Personnel from 2018-2021.
