A Michigan State baseball player is heading to the pros. On Sunday, the Spartans’ shortstop, Mitch Jebb, was selected in the second round of the MLB draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates, number 42 overall.
Jebb is MSU’s highest draft-pick since Mark Mulder was taken at No. 2 by the Oakland Athletics in 1998.
Jebb was a three-time All-Big Ten selection and also made the Big Ten all-freshman team in 2021.
