Michigan State apologizes for putting Adolf Hitler picture on scoreboard

Somebody working for Michigan State put a picture of Adolf Hitler on Spartan Stadium’s scoreboard… on purpose. The school has apologized.

The rivalry between Michigan and Michigan State should have been the main story between those two teams on Saturday, but it sadly wasn’t. Instead, it was the decision of somebody — we know not yet who — to put a picture of Adolf Hitler on the jumbo screen at Spartan Stadium.

It seemed too preposterous and stupid to be real, but it unfortunately was.

Soon after, the school issued a formal apology.

This during the game, which Michigan State lost, 49-0.

As one might expect, reaction was swift and severe.
