How’s that for some recruiting momentum?
Less than a week after Michigan football managed to get its fourth commitment of the 2022 class in River Rouge (MI) defensive tackle Davonte Miles, the Wolverines sought to get a player on the offensive side of the ball.
2022 Monument (CO) Palmer Ridge three-star offensive tackle Connor Jones once called Michigan his dream school, and once he actually got to campus last week on a self-guided tour, Jones saw all he needed to see.
He announced shortly after his visit that he would be shutting down his recruiting process and he made it official on Thursday when he pledged his commitment to Michigan.

Jones is the fifth commitment of the 2022 class for Michigan football. At 6-foot-7, 285-pounds, he’s rated the No. 774 player in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s also the No. 78 offensive tackle and sixth-best player in the state of Colorado.
He has offers from Colorado State, Indiana, New Mexico, Northwestern, Oregon State, Virginia and West Virginia.
Ed Warinner was his primary recruiter at Michigan.
