It was a monumental moment on the recruiting trail when LSU landed a commitment from five-star quarterback [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag] in January.
The No. 1 overall player in America, Underwood was largely expected to pledge to in-state Michigan, which was in the midst of a national title run when he committed. Instead, he gave his pledge to the Tigers fresh off a Heisman campaign from [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag].
Underwood has been firm in his commitment in the more than nine months since, not taking any visits elsewhere while making multiple trips to Baton Rouge. However, it seems the Wolverines may be gearing up to make another run at his services.
According to Rivals, they are still going after Underwood amid a rough season of quarterback play. That push is reportedly “real” and the battle for him is “going to be interesting,” per Rivals.
Underwood has given no signs of wavering in his commitment, but the in-state blue-blood coming calling for him again is not something the Tigers want to see.
