While many have thought Ohio State was the Big Ten school likely in contention for premium defensive tackle Walter Nolen, Michigan football had a little something to say about that.
The five-star 2022 prospect from Tennessee has now visited Ann Arbor twice, once on his own dime as an unofficial back in the spring, but seemed to be heavily favoring Florida after a visit to Gainesville. However, though that visit came before Nolen’s return trip to Ann Arbor, he did still make it to campus.
Now, Michigan remains in good standing with the elite prospect, as Nolen put the maize and blue in his newly-released top 5 on Friday.
Honored to say that this will be my TOP 5 as of now pic.twitter.com/rHeDAX84Fh

Nolen is rated the No. 2 prospect overall, regardless of position. His other finalists include Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.
