Get ready Michigan football fans, the big matchup that will truly determine whether or not the Wolverines are for real in 2021 is just weeks away. And while the maize and blue have a task at hand with a much-improved Rutgers team on deck, playing Wisconsin in Madison looms large in Week 5.

While there was some thought that it could be a night game, it turns out it will be at the same time that it’s been the past few trips to Camp Randall Stadium, so the Badgers won’t have the nighttime atmosphere advantage when the two teams square off on Oct. 2. As announced by the official Big Ten football Twitter account, Michigan and Wisconsin will kick off at noon EDT and the game will be broadcast nationally on Fox as its Big Noon Kickoff game.

Of course, Wisconsin has another big game before it hosts the Wolverines. It plays the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Soldier Field this week. If the Badgers prevail, they will enter the game against Michigan at 3-1, but if they don’t they’ll be 2-2 and fighting to get back on the good side of things.

Michigan hasn’t won in Madison since 2001.
