Michigan football spring game takeaways

Nice seeing #Michigan back in action. #GoBlue

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan football is back. Well sort of.

The Wolverines had their annual spring game on Saturday. The entire Michigan football team was drafted onto two teams: Team Maize and Team Blue.

It was a unique experience for fans and media that attended the game. Michigan is working on its new scoreboards for the season, so there were no scoreboards to check the time, yards, etc. Also, there was no PA, so the game was watched solely by observations.

There were several key players who didn’t play on Saturday. Running backs Blake Corum, Donovan Edwards and CJ Stokes were DNPs. Receivers AJ Henning and Tyler Morris didn’t play. On the defensive side, Will Johnson didn’t play.

It was still an entertaining game and there was plenty to take away. The Maize defeated the Blue, 22-21.

Here are our 10 takeaways.
