Michigan football RB Blake Corum to announce NFL draft decision on ‘Rich Eisen Show’ on Monday

Hang onto your butts! #GoBlue

Hang onto your butts, but we’ll know what Blake Corum is going to do sooner rather than later.

The deadline for college players to enter the NFL draft or return to school is on Jan. 15, and apparently, the star Michigan football running back doesn’t have to wait quite that long. While fans (and media) are still uncertain to the status of head coach Jim Harbaugh, either Corum has a pretty good intimation he will be returning to Ann Arbor despite his dalliance with NFL teams (even after releasing a statement insisting his intention is to coach Michigan in 2023), or he doesn’t care what Harbaugh is going to do.

Famed Michigan alumnus and NFL Network host Rich Eisen will have Corum on his Roku Channel show on Monday at 2 p.m. EST, during which Corum will reveal his plans.

The method is interesting because while Eisen is an NFL guy, his overall allegiance seems to be to Michigan football. Of course, it would be fitting to go on a show with an NFL-based entity to reveal his decision that he will enter the draft. However, generally, players don’t make TV appearances to announce they’re going pro, either.

On Sunday, Valiant Management launched the One More Year Fund with intentions to lure Corum and some of his teammates who are on the fence about returning or going pro back to Ann Arbor. While it seems unlikely that announcement made such an instant impact that less than 24 hours later Corum has a decision, name, image and likeness certainly is playing a factor, one way or the other in his decision and that of any other player who is still weighing their options.

According to Roku, “you can add The Roku Channel to any Roku streaming device, compatible Samsung Smart TV, compatible Amazon Fire TV device, or access it directly from the free Roku mobile app for iOS and Android. You can also visit The Roku Channel online from a web browser on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.”
