Michigan football has had an offense that spreads things about among personnel, partially because it can, but also because there hasn’t been a single standout wideout this season.
With the newest commit, perhaps that could change.
The Wolverines got Portland (Ore.) Westview four-star wide receiver Darrius Clemons to campus just before the dead period and apparently blew him away. While some other contenders got in the mix late Tuesday, it wasn’t enough to deter the elite wideout, rated No. 47 overall by On3. Deciding between the maize and blue, Auburn, Penn State, Oregon and Miami, Clemons announced on CBS Sports HQ that he’ll be playing football in Ann Arbor for the foreseeable future.
He already endeared himself to Michigan fans during his live pledge by saying, ‘Beat Ohio!’
Clemons clocks in at 6-foot-3, 205-pounds and runs a blazing fast 4.37 40-yard dash. 247Sports compares him to former Penn State wide receiver Allen Robinson.
