Michigan football had a strong start but not a great middle (with a finish coming in December) with its 2024 class, but it’s starting to get some momentum in 2025.
The Wolverines have three commits in 2025 (though Mantrez Walker isn’t exactly firm in his pledge), and prospects in that class are starting to release their top groups.
Such is the case for Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley four-star edge rusher Bryce Davis, rated by 247Sports as the No. 36 player in the country, regardless of position. Michigan football made his top 12 on Wednesday, along with Clemson, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Duke, Georgia, Tennessee, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Miami, and USC.

The Wolverines have had solid luck in the state of North Carolina in recent memory, with three pledges from the state in 2024: quarterback Jadyn Davis, wide receiver Channing Goodwin, and EDGE Jaden Smith.
Davis is the seventh-best edge rusher per the 247Sports Composite and the second-best player in the state of North Carolina.
