Michigan football gets prediction for in-state 3-star ATH

Gotta get these in-state guys. #GoBlue

Recruiting hasn’t exactly gone to plan for Michigan football in the past few weeks.

Sure, there have been some wins — edge rushers Elias Rudolph, Devon Baxter, and Dominic Nichols all pledged — but the Wolverines have lost more than they’ve gained in terms of players expected at one point to be in the 2024 class.

The maize and blue are working to rejuvenate the 2024 class, but are also working on 2025. And one such player in the latter is looking more and more like he could end up choosing his home-state Wolverines.

Hailing from Detroit (Mich.) University of Detroit Jesuit, Elijah Dotson is a three-star prospect rated the No. 351 player nationally per the 247Sports Composite. He’s listed as an athlete though he’s known more as a wide receiver. The No. 8 player in the state of Michigan in 2025, Dotson was just predicted by 247Sports’ Allen Trieu to end up wearing a winged helmet.

As of current, Dotson has offers from the likes of Kansas, Louisville, Penn State, Pitt, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

Steve Clinkscale is his primary recruiter for Michigan football.
