Less than 24 hours after one Michigan football 2025 commitment publicly appeared to be waffling, the Wolverines bolstered their future class with another pledge.
Long-anticipated to join his in-state school, 2025 Howell (Mich.) four-star defensive tackle Bobby Kanka has been a frequent visitor to Ann Arbor, with the most recent being to the BBQ at the Big House over the weekend. Having been predicted for some time via the 247Sports Crystal Ball to become a Wolverine, Kanka finally pulled the trigger on Tuesday afternoon.
Announced by 247Sports’ Allen Trieu, the No. 313 player in the country per the composite rankings and 32nd-best defensive lineman committed to Michigan football.

Kanka is listed at 6-foot-4, 255 pounds and has offers from Kansas, Louisville, Michigan State, Penn State, Tennessee, and others.
At the moment, he’s the third commitment for the maize and blue in 2025 with cornerback Chris Ewald and linebacker Mantrez Walker both currently pledged.
