Saturday, Oct. 24 is going to be a long day for fans of the maize and blue, but given the wait, it’ll be worth it.
For the third consecutive year, Michigan football will open its season at night, and will play Minnesota for the second consecutive time at night as well. With kickoff times for the Big Ten’s opening weekend, the Wolverines and Golden Gophers drew the premier time slot and will be ABC’s game of the week, kicking off at TCF Bank Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 24.
Given that both teams are currently ranked with less than two weeks before kickoff, its all but assured it’ll be a ranked-on-ranked matchup. And with it being ABC’s big game, there’s a strong possibility that ESPN’s College GameDay will be in Minneapolis — like it was for Michigan’s 2018 season opener at Notre Dame.
