Michigan football adds big-time linebacker via the transfer portal

Big addition!

Michigan football continues to add pieces to its already fantastic football team. When a team continues to win at a high level, players will come.

That’s what happened on Thursday afternoon. Michigan football added former Nebraska Cornhuskers linebacker Ernest Hausmann.

Hausmann leaves Nebraska after a stellar freshman season in 2022. The former 2022 three-star recruit finished this season playing in every game and starting seven at linebacker. He compiled 54 tackles, two TFL, one sack, and one fumble recovery.

As a recruit, he picked Nebraska over Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, and among others.

There was a suspicion that Hausmann may go to Iowa, but he ultimately chose Michigan.

The Wolverines have added two players now from the transfer portal. The other being offensive lineman LaDarius Henderson from Arizona State.

There is a strong chance the Wolverines aren’t done getting players from the transfer portal. We will continue to update when we get more information.
