2022 Michigan commitment, safety Myles Rowser — the younger brother of 2020 cornerback signee Andre Seldon — has proved his mettle at Belleville (MI), but now he’s ready to show the nation what he’s got.

The standout who’s been accumulating top-level offers before pledging to the Wolverines wants to show he can play with the best of the best. That’s why Rowser is making a huge move, from the familiar confines of Metro Detroit to the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida — the veritable powerhouse which has produced several high-end recruits, from the five-stars that have gone to the likes of Alabama, LSU — and even Michigan, as IMG alum Shea Patterson transferred from Oxford, Miss. to Ann Arbor — and multiple four-stars.

In essence, IMG Academy is an all-star team at the high school-level. And Rowser announced on Twitter that’s where he’s headed.

Michigan has been the benefactor of many recruits from the prestigious Florida school. Beyond Patterson, Cesar Ruiz, outgoing linebacker (via transfer) Jordan Anthony and LB Charles Thomas (who transferred to St. Thomas More in Connecticut for his senior year of high school) are among the recent Wolverines who hail from said institution.

It’s also not out of character for a local Detroit-area recruit to transfer there, as former Orchard Lake (MI) St. Mary’s standout KJ Hamler — who went on to have a stellar career at Penn State — also made the move from the Midwest to the Sunshine State.

Also, IMG Academy is where Michigan spent its first week of spring ball in a controversial move back in late March 2016.

Rowser is not yet ranked in the 2022 class, but it will only be a matter of time, given how high profile his new school is from a national perspective. He still has two years at the high school level.
