Last week the Big Ten had its most impactful games of the season as the top two teams in each division, all four of them being undefeated, battled to take control and lead the charge to Indianapolis to play in the conference championship game next month. We also saw another cancelation for Maryland, this week losing out on playing the Michigan State Spartans.
It snapped its three-game losing streak when it comes to Michigan football, defeating Rutgers in triple-overtime 48-42 as the Wolverines had to bring in their backup quarterback to get the offense moving down the field against the Scarlet Knights. Michigan showed life in a season that has taken a turn for the worst and has a chance this week to get back to .500.
With the mixed results from last week’s games, we ended up seeing some changes inside this edition of the Big Ten power rankings. The top four have a little shuffle, but there are more significant changes among the conference outside of those.
