For the first time since former LSU and Louisiana Tech offensive tackle Willie Allen pledged to the Wolverines last fall, Michigan football has added a player from the NCAA transfer portal.
Hailing from the 2018 recruiting class, Alan Bowman was a three-star quarterback out of Grapevine (TX). A pro-style QB, Bowman played for three seasons at Texas Tech, where he completed 67% of his passes for 5,260 yards and 33 touchdowns to 17 interceptions on 713 attempts. And on Sunday, he’s joining a quarterback battle in progress between Cade McNamara and former five-star J.J. McCarthy, as he announced on Twitter that he is committing to the Wolverines.

While he’s played 19 games in three seasons, he redshirted his sophomore year, and has two years of eligibility remaining.
