With a crowded frontcourt, Michael Porter Jr. hasn’t seen consistent playing time this season but the Denver Nuggets rookie made the most of his minutes on Saturday night.
Porter recorded 11 points, four rebounds, two steals and one block in 18 minutes of work during the 119-110 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The performance marked just the second time this season Porter has scored in double digits after recording a career-high 15 points on Oct. 31.
Nuggets head coach Michael Malone has often said this season that finding playing time for Porter has been a challenge but has often praised his work ethic and ability when he does play. On Saturday, Porter was among the first subs off the bench and provided the Nuggets with some energy and scoring.

Porter was able to come into the game and get off to a quick start. He made a couple of 3-pointers, which gave him confidence throughout the rest of the game. His performance on Saturday certainly reassured Malone that he is deserving of playing time this season.
Next up for the Nuggets: A Sunday night home game vs. the Kings.
