Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker entered the NBA 2K Players Tournament as one of the favorites to win the event and the veteran flashed off his gamer skills en route to an 85-75 win over Denver Nuggets rookie Michael Porter Jr.

The fifth-seeded Booker used the Milwaukee Bucks to dominate No. 12 Porter and the Los Angeles Lakers as he held a sizeable lead for much of the contest. Booker has been known to frequently play NBA 2K and even trash-talked Porter nearly the entire matchup.

The two players put on an entertaining contest with their reactions and conversation on full display. Prior to tipoff, they had a hilarious exchange after Porter asked Booker to play with the Suns.

Booker pushed the lead to double figures in the first half but Porter cut the deficit to just six points at halftime. Porter got the lead down to two points in the fourth quarter but Booker eventually pulled away to advance to the next round.

Booker will face Washington Wizards rookie Rui Hachimura next in the single-elimination quarterfinal matchup scheduled to take place on Tuesday night.
