Graduates in the 2023 class at the Univerisity of North Carolina received a special virtual message this past weekend. And it wasn’t just any ordinary guest.
The Greatest of All Time, Michael Jordan, delivered a virtual message to the class to celebrate the “Jordan Year” here in 2023. During the ceremony, Jordan appeared on video with a message, congratulating the entire class.
“Jordan year, huh? I like that,” Jordan said. “Congratulations to the Carolina Class of 2023. Much success!”
While it was a short message, it’s pretty damn cool to have someone like Jordan record something here in that “Jordan year” at his alma mater.

Jordan played three years on the Tar Heels’ basketball team before being drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the 1984 NBA draft. But he didn’t forget about finishing his college degree.
He went back to Chapel Hill and graduated in 1986 to finish his bachelor’s degree in geography.
