Michael Jordan is addicted to golf (and he’s not the only sports celebrity)
Michael Jordan has been on everyone’s mind after a recent documentary, “The Last Dance.” His basketball days over, Jordan is all about golf.
Michael Jordan is the new Tiger King, in the sense that he’s the sensation occupying many Americans’ TV screens as they remain in their homes riding out the coronavirus pandemic. The basketball legend is the subject of “The Last Dance,” a documentary miniseries about his career with particular focus on the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls season.
But Jordan isn’t just about basketball, especially in retirement. He also has an interest in golf – particularly high-stakes golf.
Jordan has delivered pep talks in Ryder Cup team rooms. He recently had an ultra-exclusive golf course built in South Florida called The Grove XXIII. This week, Brooks Koepka told a story about what it’s like to play Jordan in a money-game. Jordan remains the ultimate closer, and he expects you to pony up your losses.
Jordan’s interest in the game is shared by several other professional athletes. Here’s a look at Jordan on the course along with some of his celebrity contemporaries.
