It should go without saying, but COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, has nothing to do with the Corona beer.
Seriously, nothing at all.
Despite that objective fact, Corona beer had seen a significant decline in U.S. sales just in the lead-up to the coronavirus spread. Going back to late February — before life basically changed — Corona sales were down 5 percent. But no, that doesn’t mean that Corona beer should stop advertising.
You’d have to be rather misinformed to actually think there is a real link between Corona beer and the coronavirus. So, with that being said, what are you doing here, Michael Irvin?
Since I am not a beer drinker. Maybe it’s just me. But I believe that @corona beer SHOULD NOT be running their commercials at this time. Sorry I don’t want to hear how a Corona gets it’s lime while the Coronavirus is getting lives. pic.twitter.com/QkjHVFGbBa

On Thursday, the former NFL receiver and current NFL Network personality tweeted a video of a Corona beer commercial. He suggested that Corona should stop advertising because the coronavirus is claiming actual lives.
No, Michael. Don’t do this. This isn’t going to end well.

Apparently they should stop advertising their beer because of a virus that has nothing to do with them.
