Several former A&M players have generated lots of buzz, both positive and negative throughout the NFL pre-draft process. Kenyon Green, Isaiah Spiller, DeMarvin Leal, and Jalen Wydermeyer have grabbed headlines over the last several months. But Michael Clemons, the former Aggie defensive end, who posted a career-high 7 sacks in 2021 seems to be getting love from inside the league that isn’t being reflected in the media.
Among those who seem to have appreciation for Clemons as a player? The Dallas Cowboys, who brought the defensive end to their facility in Frisco, TX for one of their 30 allowed national player visits on Wednesday. Clemons’ agent Erik Berkhardt tweeted a picture of his client with the boss, Jerry Jones during his visit, and detailed Clemons’ busy pre-draft schedule.
Micheal Clemons (DE- Tx A&M)= a beast that is going wayyy higher than draft Twitter currently recognizes.
He had the privilege to spend time w the Boss today on his 3rd 30-visit & 4 others scheduled + 4 private workouts to come. Special young man. 📈 pic.twitter.com/pTQaxWfRbF— Erik Burkhardt (@ErikBurkhardt) April 6, 2022
The defensive end draft class is strong in 2022, but Clemons is a player who clearly has the interest of NFL teams, so it will be interesting to see where he winds up.
