Mic’d-up video showed what a pumped Mike Evans said as he hit 1,000 yards on the Bucs’ final play

That catch was worth $3 million.

Mike Evans had himself a sensational Sunday, and he left Raymond James Stadium some $3 million wealthier.

Needing five receptions and 85 yards to both reach a $3 million incentive bonus and tie Jerry Rice for an 11th straight 1,000-yard season, Evans reached the mark on the Bucs’ final play of the regular season. It initially looked like Evans was going to fall short as the Bucs could have kneeled out the clock in a one-possession game.

But Baker Mayfield knew what was at stake for Evans, so he made sure to get his receiver the ball on the final play. You could tell just how much it meant to Evans as NFL Films released mic’d-up video of the moment.

After Evans earned his bonus and tied Rice’s record, we could hear as the receiver shouted with his teammates, “Come the (expletive) on!” He was pumped — as he should have been. That was one valuable catch.

With the win, the Bucs locked up the NFC South and will face the Commanders in the wild-card round.
