According to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, the Miami Heat are hoping that shooting guard Tyler Herro will return from an ankle injury that he once thought would keep him out for the remainder of the regular season in just a week or two.
Herro has missed the Heat’s last 10 games, last suiting up for Miami on February 3 against the Philadelphia 76ers. The prized rookie even missed the Rising Stars game during All-Star Weekend while having to wear a walking boot.
Characterized as an ankle sprain, Jackson notes that Herro’s ability to return will be dependent on his foot and ankle responds to increased basketball activity. The 13th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Herro has not been participating in full practices just yet.
The hope with Heat's Tyler Herro is that he can return in a week or two, but fluid depending on how his foot/ankle responds. Out of the boot and able to do some things but not doing full practices.
