The Miami Dolphins organization hasn’t found a lot of success on the football field in recent history. The team has been marred by poor management structure, short-sighted decision making and a general lack of communication in the team’s front office. But if you look closely at the environment that owner Stephen Ross has fostered this season in Miami, things look to have changed. There is, according to both general manager Chris Grier and head coach Brian Flores, constant communication between both parties as to what is best for the Miami Dolphins in football operations.
It’s a much healthier culture this year. And if you extend the Dolphins’ organization beyond football operations and look at the organization as a whole, the Dolphins appear to be at the top of the class as far as NFL employers go.
No, this isn’t just fluff — Front Office Sports has named the Miami Dolphins one of 2019’s ‘Best Employers in Sports’.
The wait is over.

The Dolphins were the only NFL franchise recognized among the 50 businesses and teams recognized by Front Office Sports. Those recognized were chosen courtesy of the results of anonymous surveys, said to have been given to over 2,500 people currently employed in the sports industry. According to Front Office Sports, the criteria of the survey included a number of topics regarding employment:
“Respondents were asked to rate statements about their employer regarding culture, diversity, advancement opportunity, compensation, trust and more. They were asked if they would recommend their employer to a friend or family member, and in a final open-ended question analyzed using patented AI technology free from human bias, they were asked to give reasons WHY they would or would not recommend their employer.” – Front Office Sports
Winning off the field sure helps when the winning on the field isn’t where it should be.
