Heading into the 2023 season, the Miami Dolphins will have arguably the most entertaining offense in the NFL. Led by former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and ascending star wide receiver [autotag]Jaylen Waddle[/autotag], the team in South Florida is a must-watch for all the Crimson Tide faithful.
Waddle was Miami’s No. 6 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft and he has surpassed all expectations the Dolphins had when they selected him. As a rookie, he set the NFL record for receptions by a rookie with 104 and has started all 33 regular season games of his two-year career. Through two years in the league, Waddle has reeled in 179 receptions for 2,371 yards and 14 touchdowns. At only 24 years old, Waddle is still an ascending superstar with the best years of his career ahead of him.
Before the start of every NFL season, players across the league come together to vote and rank the 100 best players in the NFL. After only year two, Waddle has been recognized as the 44th-best player in the league by his peers. That’s also coming off of a year where Tagovailoa was constantly in and out of the lineup with various injuries. The wildest part is I don’t feel like Waddle has even scratched the surface of what he’s capable of in the NFL, especially with the game-changing speed he has.
