Deathloop is the talk of the town right now, and even Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding fame couldn’t help jumping on the hype train. Though he’s a little concerned that it’ll, well, make him motion sick.
Deathloop, the latest shooter from developer Arkane Studios, is all about high-flying antics and time travel. It’s the kind of game that’ll surely test your noggin as well as any spatial awareness issues you might have. Kojima, who’s known for mind-bending games himself, is eager to give Deathloop a try. The trouble is, he’s not sure he can handle its first-person perspective.
“Deathloop. It’s a time loop game with an interesting system,” Kojima said on Twitter. “I want to play it, but it’s an FPS, and I’ll probably get 3D-sick. Hmmm.”
He went on to claim that beyond FPS games, loads of activities make him sick: swings, theme park rides, and even riding at the front of buses!
Check out Kojima’s comments for yourself below.
I've always get sick even though I was in the gymnastics team. On field trips, I sat at the front of the bus. I get sick on the swings. At amusement parks, I couldn't go on the teacups, viking rides, flying carpets, octopus rides, or anything that spun. Roller coasters are fine. https://t.co/QfShUwyd2t

Many of Kojima’s peers and fans shared similar sentiments or tips on how to not hurl while playing Deathloop. Or they chimed in with a cheeky joke
You should still play it. What’s a little bit of bodily fluid?

I’ve gotta say though, I don’t really understand how a 1st person camera can effect you and a 3rd person camera won’t. Either way, 3D sickness would be the worst thing in the world for me.

You learn something new all the time with Hideos tweets – I would never had guessed that someone like him can get motion sickness from a type of game

Increase the field of view and play on PC! It helps with motion sickness! pic.twitter.com/jVAVZKrcLT

Oh, and the official Deathloop Twitter account had some advice for Kojima too.
Drink lots of water, take breaks when you need to, and watch out for Julianna 😎

Hopefully Kojima can find a way to play, without getting nauseous, of course!
