Wisconsin strength and conditioning coach Ross Kolodziej spoke to reporters yesterday after the team held the first round of voluntary workouts and noted that 100 of 123 players in the program participated, with others having personal conflicts or family events.

Potrykus also tweeted that “despite the different structure this summer because of COVID-19, [Kolodziej] believes the players will be able to accomplish all they could have physically in a normal summer program.”

Question marks are still present about what the season will look like and whether it will be able to start on time. Recent news–including these comments from Kolodziej’s press conference–point towards the season indeed being able to start on time, especially if this virtual and shortened offseason program proves to be enough to have players ready for the season.
