A minor development for Jets right tackle Mekhi Becton that may not mean much in the end, but still worth noting.
Connor Hughes of SNYTV noted that Becton is wearing a knee brace on his right knee at practice Friday.
Becton is almost a year removed from his ACL injury in Week 1 of last season and seems to be coming along nicely in his recovery. Perhaps, and in all likelihood, this is just precautionary as Becton has not had any issues with his knee up to this point, at least that we know of.
We’ll see if this amounts to anything, but chances are this is just a minor speed bump as Becton prepares to play his first game in almost a year.
We are just over a month away from the Jets opening the season against the Baltimore Ravens on September 11.
