Media Poll: LSU picked to finish sixth, preseason SEC team announced

LSU basketball under Will Wade picked to finish in the middle of the pack.

The LSU Tigers were picked to finish sixth in the preseason SEC basketball media poll voted on by members of the media, according to reports Tuesday.

LSU finished 3rd last season (19-10, 11-6 SEC), behind Alabama and Kentucky.

Darius Days started in 28 games as a junior, scoring11.7 points per game, 7.8 rebounds, and one steal per game. The Tigers went 19-1 when Days scored in double figures last season. He’s made 61 starts through three seasons with the Bayou Bengals. Days shot 51.9% on the season overall with 52 made three-pointers.

LSU opens the 2021-22 season on Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. against ULM. SEC play begins on December 29th. The SEC Tournament will be March 9-13 at Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Fla.
