Kylian Mbappé has helpfully demonstrated what noses are not supposed to look like, as the France star suffered a suspected broken nose after a nasty collision in his side’s Euro 2024 opener.

Mbappé went up for a second-half header in the box, but smashed into Austria defender Kevin Danso’s shoulder after winning the ball.

Blood started pouring from the Real Madrid star’s nose as he quickly got medical treatment on the pitch, and he was eventually removed from the game in the 90th minute.

To add insult to injury, Mbappé was shown a yellow card as he was attempted to re-enter the pitch without first getting permission from the referee.

France would win the match 1-0 after a first-half own goal but the injury, and the card, could loom large for France as the tournament goes on.
