Verstappen led the way, but Lando Norris was closing in the final laps. In the end, it wasn’t enough for Norris to earn his second career Formula 1 victory.

Verstappen won the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, earning his seventh victory of the Formula 1 season. At 26 years old, the three-time F1 champion now has 61 wins, 30 wins away from matching Michael Schumacher. Verstappen is now 42 wins away from matching Lewis Hamilton for the most all-time.

The Red Bull Racing driver may not have had the best car in Spain, but his dominance and ability to finish races is a big reason why he won on Sunday. Verstappen continues to stretch out his lead in the point standings as he pushes for his fourth straight Formula 1 championship.
