Max Johnson will start at Quarterback for Texas A&M vs Miami

No topic surrounding the Texas A&M football program has been discussed more since the end of the 2021 football season, than the position of quarterback. The first answer Jimbo Fisher gave coming out of fall camp, was to go with Haynes King, the redshirt sophomore who won the starting job in 2021, but was injured in only his second start.

But it took only two games for it to be obvious that King wasn’t going to be able to get the job done, and once A&M was upset by Appalachian State, Coach Fisher’s hand was forced, and as of Thursday night, reports began to surface that Max Johnson would indeed be the starting quarterback for the Aggies primetime matchup with the Miami Hurricanes.
