Mavs’ Kyrie Irving is glad Kevin Durant got traded from Nets to Suns

Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving is glad to see Kevin Durant traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Phoenix Suns.

The Brooklyn Nets have completed the trade trifecta. After sending James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers at the 2022 deadline and sending Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 5, the Nets traded Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns early Thursday morning to officially hit the reset button.

The return is a good one for the Nets. They acquired Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, four first-round picks, and a 2028 pick swap as well as Jae Crowder. This will be a new phase for Brooklyn after the Big 3 era flopped.

After making his debut for the Mavericks, scoring 24 points in a win over the Los Angeles Clippers, Irving reacted to the Durant trade. He was glad to see his former teammate leave the Nets.

This came after Irving said he felt disrespected by the Nets during his time in Brooklyn. So, obviously, he would be happy to see Durant leave the organization. Either way, at this point, the Nets now move on and rebuild with new faces.
