Maurice Hurst forces another Browns turnover on downs vs. Steelers

The Browns’ defense continues their “bend but don’t break” mentality!

The Cleveland Browns continue to roll in this week 12 matchup as the defense was able to force another turnover on downs against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This time it was defensive tackle Maurice Hurst.

Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz has shown that he was well prepared for the Steelers fourth down attack with Justin Fields. On a 4th and inches play, the Steelers used Fields as a decoy and handed the ball to running Jaylen Warren. He was quickly met by Hurst, who put an immediate end to the run. Pittsburgh has now failed to convert both of their fourth down attempts against the Browns with this second turnover on downs.

It’s been a surprisingly impressive performance for the Cleveland Browns defense tonight. They have now forced three turnovers in this game with plenty of time left in the game. The Cleveland defense cannot continue to rely on turnovers to win this game; the offense must start capitalizing on its drives. We’ll see if the defense can continue to hold strong throughout the remainder of this AFC North matchup.
