Fans who like to use the Los Angeles Rams in Madden will be treated to a quarterback upgrade in this year’s game. Matthew Stafford was given an 83 overall rating in “Madden NFL 22,” which is good for 12th-best among all quarterbacks.
That’s seven points better than Jared Goff’s overall rating at the start of last year when he was a 76 overall in “Madden NFL 21.” This year, Goff has a 77 rating with the Lions.
Stafford is one point lower than Baker Mayfield and one higher than Kyler Murray, putting him in the top half of starters in the video game. He has an impressive 85 rating in awareness, but where he really shines is arm strength. Stafford has one of the strongest arms in the game with a 95 throw power rating.
He also has a rating of 83 for throwing under pressure and 85 deep accuracy. Throwing on the run isn’t much trouble for Stafford, either, with a rating of 82 in that department.
So Stafford will be more mobile for gamers this year, and his arm strength should make throwing deep passes much easier.
As far as the Rams’ other players go, Stafford is only eighth on the team in overall rating. Aaron Donald (99), Jalen Ramsey (99), Robert Woods (87), Andrew Whitworth (86), Cooper Kupp (86), Johnny Hekker (86) and Darious Williams (84) are all rated higher than Stafford.
