The LSU Tigers have been quiet on the recruiting trail recently, but that all changed on Monday afternoon when three-star safety Matthew Langlois made his choice official.
Langlois, a 6-foot-0, 185-pounder from Catholic of Pointe Coupee in New Roads, La., picked the defending national champions over offers from Notre Dame and Mississippi State, among others.
Langlois committed to Kansas State in August but picked up an offer from home-state LSU on Oct. 10, which changed everything.

Safeties coach Bill Busch was Langlois’ primary recruiter, and the young safety spoke of how he will fit in Baton Rouge, per Billy Embody of 247Sports.
“Coach Busch and coach Jeff Martin emphasized that if I commit that I can make an impact probably early on in my career over there if I try hard and do what I need to do,” Langlois said.
Langlois is the No. 14 player in Louisiana in 2021 and the No. 31 safety in the entire class.
LSU currently has the No. 5 recruiting class for 2021, according to 247Sports.
