New England Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon put out a cryptic tweet on Saturday, and in it, he nominated himself as the General Manager of the Year.

It’s important to note that Judon recently told media members he doesn’t run his Twitter account during mandatory minicamp. So everything that’s posted there should come with a grain of salt.

With that said, the four-time Pro Bowl linebacker was recently spotted with wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins last week, as the wideout took a visit to New England on Wednesday and Thursday.

Could that be what he is referring to? Either way, his tweet can lead to speculation about New England signing the multi-Pro Bowl wide receiver. Or, he could just be pointing some of the other recruiting pitches he’s made throughout the offseason.

Hopkins would be a solid addition for New England at the wide receiver spot. However, nothing is set in stone as of now.

Obviously, Judon isn’t wasting the moment to have a little fun.

Fans had their doubts in regards to Judon’s tweet. After all, landing a player like Hopkins would be a massive addition for New England. It’s easy to understand why fans would not want to get their hopes up.

Still, Judon’s response to one of the naysayers was absolutely hilarious.

Is this simply harmless fun, or is there some validity about a potential roster move?

Either way, Judon’s cryptic tweet got the fans talking. As the offseason continues to draw on, it’s hard not to get a little bit excited about any potential roster move.
