Matt Turner is about to have his hands full, on the field and off.
The USMNT goalkeeper, already the father of nine-month-old Easton, is adding another baby to his clan. And on Monday night, the world found out that Turner and his wife Ashley’s second child will be a girl.
After their 1-0 win over El Salvador, Turner invited his U.S teammates and fans to join in an on-field gender reveal. Even the Exploria Stadium PA announcer got in the act, counting down until the goalkeeper punted a small soccer ball that exploded into pink dust.
Turner’s teammates quickly mobbed the soon-to-be father of two.
IT’S A GIRL 💕💕💕💕

“My instant reaction was pure joy,” Turner told reporters after the game. “I can’t wait to be a girl dad. It rounds out our family really, really nicely as well.”
This is actually becoming something of a tradition for the Turner family. Last year it was Ashley who booted the powder-filled ball in front of fans and teammates — only then the powder was blue and the fans and teammates were from Turner’s former side, the New England Revolution.
IT’S A BOY!!! 🎉💙
