Matt Nagy’s time in Chicago is likely coming to a swift end soon, but at least he gave Bears fans something to cheer for… for a brief moment anyway.
During “Monday Night Football” the Chicago Bears were playing more uninspired football under Nagy’s watch as head coach, this time against the Minnesota Vikings. Late in the third quarter at the Vikings’ 10-yard line, Kirk Cousins appeared to pick up a first down on a scramble as ruled by the officials. Nagy disagreed with the call, so much so in fact that he didn’t just toss his challenge flag so the crew could take a look at it, he spiked it right in front of an official.
Seriously, this is a Rob Gronkowski-like spike from Nagy here.

This wasn’t the first time in Monday’s game either that Nagy was irate with the officials, as he picked up an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty earlier in the night.
While Nagy’s challenge resulted in a Vikings punt that was partially blocked, giving the Bears incredible field position down 17-3 and looking for a score, a terrible fourth down call turned the ball back over to Minnesota in the same sequence.

Despite the miserable fourth down that would follow, NFL fans were absolutely delighted at Nagy’s challenge flag spike.
