Just when you think things can’t get worse with Bears head coach Matt Nagy, they do.
Not only was it absurd to wait until Friday to announce the starting quarterback, but Nagy has now announced that it will be a game-time decision at quarterback.
The understanding is it’ll be Andy Dalton if healthy. If not, look for rookie quarterback Justin Fields to make his second start. But don’t worry, Nick Foles isn’t in the mix to start against the Lions.
Dalton has been limited all week throughout practice, and he’s officially questionable for Sunday’s game. Meanwhile, Fields, who injured his thumb on his throwing hand, has been a full participant in practice all week.
#Bears starting QB, either Andy Dalton or Justin Fields, will be a game-time decision Sunday.

The Nagy hatred has reached a fever pitch among fans following a series of questionable moves, including the mind games at quarterback. Nagy was ripped by national media and fans alike for his handling of quarterback Justin Fields, who was thrown to the wolves in his first NFL start with a game plan designed for Andy Dalton.
When asked about who would be calling plays, Nagy refused to answer saying it was “internal.” But all indications are that Bill Lazor will be calling plays, given Nagy didn’t say it would be him.
At this point in the week, Nagy has to know who his starter is against the Lions. But the gamesmanship of it all has fans livid. Especially given the Bears are playing the Lions.
