Matt Ioannidis, Cornelius Lucas activated from COVID-19 list

Washington now has four players remaining on the reserve/COVID-19 list, three of which are notable starters.

In the first five days of training camp, the Washington Football Team had seven players placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Washington could be on the verge of turning things around as offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas and defensive tackle Matt Ioannidis were activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday.

Defensive back Chris Miller was also activated from the list, giving Washington four players left. Brandon Scherff, Daron Payne and Curtis Samuel are three of the four players remaining on the COVID list.

There could be more good news on the horizon for Washington as Mike Jones of USA TODAY Sports reported on Tuesday that Washington’s vaccination percentage was up to 84%, a significant increase from when training camp opened.

On Monday, Washington was without its top three defensive tackles, with Jonathan Allen day-to-day with a hamstring injury and Payne and Ioannidis on the COVID list.
