Who would be a better guest picker for College GameDay at Augusta National than Jack Nicklaus?
The six-time Masters champion joined the GameDay crew live via video to pick the winner’s of the week’s best college football games and the 2020 Masters.
When asked who he thought would be presented the famous green jacket on Sunday, Nicklaus was measured. He knows from experience a lot can happen in 36 holes.
“Well I think it’s too early to call, guys,” Nicklaus said Saturday afternoon. “I don’t think all the mail-in scores are in yet, but we’ve got 36 holes to go and I’m with you guys. I think Rahm and Justin Thomas are right there. I’d probably go with Justin only for his experience in winning majors.”
Nicklaus was at Augusta National on Thursday to hit the ceremonial first tee shot alongside Gary Player.
Lee Corso, in dramatic GameDay fashion, joined the crew from his home studio to pick a Masters winner with mascot-sized, realistic heads of Bryson DeChambeau and Tiger Woods to his right and left. Corso also wore a fake muscle suit, we can only assume to steer viewers toward thinking he was picking DeChambeau.
“Bryson was the favorite to win the Masters, but not so fast, slog guy,” Corso said. “(Tiger’s) playing great, he’s going to be tough. Not this year, Tiger, my friend. I’m going with my guy. He’s won four majors and he’s a Seminole. Brooks Koepka.”
Jack Nicklaus apologized to Desmond for picking Wisconsin over Michigan.
Des followed up and stunned the crew, picking the Badgers over his Wolverines!

Corso, a former Seminole, put on a Florida State football helmet and sat a black Nike golf hat on top, leaving fans to wonder how he would look like a massive Tiger or Bryson head instead.
